Welcome to My Personal Page
Friends and Family - we cannot thank each and every one of you enough for your generous support of the Parkinson's walk for many years. We feel that it is important to carry on this legacy in memory of our dad at least a little while longer. Parkinson's is a rotten disease and if our fund raising can ease that burden even a little bit for another family, I know that would make our dad proud. This year will be different, we'll be walking at a park near our mom's house, physically distanced even from each other. And maybe when we're done our walk, we'll share a toast and a laugh in Dad's honour.
For a person living with Parkinson’s, each day can be a struggle to perform common tasks that most of us take for granted. Medication can help symptoms, but there’s no cure for this progressive neurodegenerative disease. By 2031, the number of people living with Parkinson’s is expected to double.
With your support, together, we can ensure that there is a place for people living with Parkinson’s to turn to – a place like Home. Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario provides much needed programs services, advocacy and research initiatives to build and spread awareness, care and support for Parkinson’s. They are Home for everyone living with Parkinson’s Disease in Southwestern Ontario.
Please support me as I WALK THE BLOCK for Parkinson’s this September. Your donation will stay local and help make a difference to more than 10,000 people living with Parkinson’s right here at Home.
